Some people at St Margarets get baptised when they have grown older. When they get baptised they are declaring that they have accepted all that Jesus has done for them and want him to be in charge of their life and become an ongoing part of his church family. As well as the water symbolising being  washed clean, it also means that they have chosen to die to their old way of doing things their own way and have chosen to live in Christ's new way.

Adults and young people are given the choice of being fully immersed in water when being baptised or being baptised at the font using a sprinkling of water.
