Harvest

The way that God provides for all our needs is remembered in the Harvest Festival.

Harvest freely banner

This harvest banner reminds us that God has provided us with everything we need. In thankfulness we bring our offering to be used for others.

There is enough food for everyone in our world if people shared it out more evenly!

Harvest produce

People now mainly bring tinned goods that are used by the church teams that go out on the Soup Run. They take turns with other churches to provide food and drink to the homeless. Our teams go out  one Sunday evening per month.

This fresh produce reminds us that all our processed food originally comes from fresh ingredients. Bread and many other foods are made from wheat and corn.

St Margarets Church is in an area of Colchester called Berechurch.
Berechurch means-

"Church in the Cornfields"
