Choose a theme that means something to you. Some
ideas we have used are:
|
Words from the Bible that are meaningful to
you.
A special time of the year.
How you feel about God, the world He has created.
His love for each one of us.
|
You could compose your words to fit music you know already or you
could compose your own.
Some composers write out the words first and others sing them first.
You could get some ideas by looking at the songs written by a modern composer such as
Graham Kendrick.
|

Try recording your song and then ask if you can play it in school
assembly.
|
Remember that when we compose a song for God it should
help people to understand how great he is. As composers of worship songs we should try not
to take the credit for what God has done.
